Privacy Policy
Last updated October 17, 2026
This policy explains what information Marketing Suite HQ, LLC (“Tap Cards,” “we”) collects when you use tapcards.net, how we use it, and the choices you have. It works together with our Terms of Service.
The short version
- Your card is public by design, but you decide which details appear on your page and in your saved contact.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't run advertising or ad trackers.
- We use a small set of service providers to host the site, store data, send email and take payments.
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored securely hashed; we can't read them.
- Card content: what you put on your card, such as photos, title, company, phone numbers, emails, links, location, social profiles and portfolio items. Hidden fields stay hidden from your public page and saved contact.
- Billing: if you buy Plus, Stripe collects your payment details. We receive a customer ID, your subscription status and renewal date, but never your full card number.
- Messages: anything you send us by email.
Information about visitors to cards
- Exchange Contact: if a card owner has this turned on and you choose to share your details, we store what you enter (name, email, phone, company, note) and give it to that card owner, including by email. The card owner decides how to use it.
- Card statistics: to show owners how their card is doing, we count events like page views, contact saves, QR scans and link taps. We store the type of event and when it happened, not who you are.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) in server logs used for security and troubleshooting. We use cookies only to keep you logged in and to make the site work. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use information
- to run your account, display your card and build your saved contact and QR codes;
- to send service emails, such as account confirmation, password resets and new-contact notifications;
- to process payments and manage your subscription;
- to prevent spam, abuse and fraud, and to keep the service secure;
- to answer your questions and improve Tap Cards.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run the service, with providers that process it on our behalf:
- Supabase: database, login and file storage;
- Vercel: website hosting;
- Resend: sending email;
- Stripe: payments;
- Cloudflare: domain name services and forwarding email sent to our address.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business. We don't sell or rent personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and card content for as long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account, cards, uploaded images, received contacts and statistics. Stripe keeps payment records as required by law, and server logs and backups clear on their normal schedule.
Your choices and rights
- Edit or hide anything on your card at any time from your dashboard.
- Download the contacts you've received as a CSV from Insights.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing hello@tapcards.net.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. We'll honor requests as the law requires, and we won't treat you differently for making one.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restrict each account to its own data, and limit who can access our systems. No service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else.
Children
Tap Cards isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, email hello@tapcards.net and we'll delete it.
Where data is stored
Tap Cards is run from the United States. Our service providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
