Terms of Service
Last updated October 17, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Marketing Suite HQ, LLC (“Tap Cards,” “we,” “us”), which operates tapcards.net and the Tap Cards digital business card service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Tap Cards, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to buy a paid plan. Give us accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us right away at hello@tapcards.net if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for activity on your account.
2. Your card and content
Your card is meant to be shared: anything you choose to show on your card page is visible to anyone with the link or QR code, and anything you include in your saved contact (vCard) goes to everyone who saves it. You choose what appears in each place.
You keep ownership of everything you add: your name, photos, logos, portfolio items and other content. You give us a license to store, display, resize and deliver that content only as needed to run the service for you. You confirm you have the right to use what you upload, including other people's photos, names and trademarks.
Card addresses (like tapcards.net/yourname) are first come, first served. We may reclaim or change an address that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, or is unused.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use Tap Cards to:
- impersonate a person or business, or mislead people about who you are;
- post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- send spam, phishing or malware, or collect other people's information without permission;
- interfere with the service, get around our limits, or access accounts or data that aren't yours.
We may remove content or suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, including spam and fake accounts, with or without notice.
4. Tap Cards Plus
Plus is a paid subscription that costs $9.95 per year, plus any sales tax that applies. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews each year, and we charge the payment method on file, until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime. Cancel from Account → Manage billing, or email hello@tapcards.net. Plus stays on until the end of the year you already paid for, then your account returns to the Free plan.
- No refunds. Payments, including renewals, are non-refundable, and we don't give credits for partial years, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Price changes. If the price changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal.
- Back to Free. When Plus ends, Plus features (such as your portfolio, custom domain, extra cards and analytics) stop showing, but we keep your content in case you upgrade again.
5. Custom domains
If you connect your own domain, you must own or control it and keep its DNS records pointed at us. You're responsible for your domain's registration and renewal. We may disconnect a domain that stops pointing at us or is used to break these terms.
6. Contacts you receive
If you turn on Exchange Contact, visitors can send you their name and contact details. Use that information only to follow up with them, and handle it according to the laws that apply to you, including anti-spam laws.
7. Ending your account
You can stop using Tap Cards at any time. To delete your account and its content, email hello@tapcards.net. If you have an active Plus subscription, we'll cancel it, and no refund is due for the remaining time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or that we reasonably believe put the service or other people at risk.
8. Disclaimers
Tap Cards is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every phone, contacts app or QR scanner will handle your card the same way.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Marketing Suite HQ, LLC won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $20 if you haven't paid us anything.
10. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you posted or your breaking these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Indiana, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll let you know by email or in your dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use Tap Cards after that means you accept the updated terms.
